I would really recommend not going down this route. Emacs is a “being”. If you tinker with core prefixes like C-x then all the portals in hell will open direct to your desktop. I can only see it causing hassle down the road. If you use emacs ,one tends to kind of live in it. Is it really so hard to remember C-w for kill-region?

HAHA, yeah people tell me that all the time, but really my only interest in EMACS is that I can mold it into the text editor I want. It’s quicker than writing one from scratch, which is something that’s even more hellish than re-mapping emacs keys
